Lubrication and Cooling Methods of Hard Toothed Gear Reducer with Lubricating Oil

When the carrying power of the hard tooth reducer exceeds the thermal power, circulating oil lubrication or oil pool lubrication and disc tube cooling can be used. When a gearbox lubricated with circulating oil stops for more than 24 hours and starts at full load, lubricating oil should be supplied before starting.

1. The lubrication and cooling of the reducer gear generally adopt oil pool lubrication and natural cooling.
When the carrying power of the hard tooth reducer exceeds the thermal power, circulating oil lubrication or oil pool lubrication and disc tube cooling can be used. When a gearbox lubricated with circulating oil stops for more than 24 hours and starts at full load, lubricating oil should be supplied before starting.
The grade (viscosity) of the lubricating oil should be selected based on the circumferential speed V of the high-speed gear or the lubrication method:
When V<2.5m/s, or when the ambient temperature is between 35-50 ℃, select medium extreme pressure Gear oil N320 (or VG320, Mo-bi1632); when V>2.5m/s, or use circulating lubrication, select medium extreme pressure Gear oil N220 (or VG220, Mo-bi1630)
2. The lubrication of bearings adopts splash oil lubrication, and the lubricating oil of bearings is the same as that of gears
3. Forced lubrication is recommended for large-sized reducers (such as zly cylindrical gear reducer with final Centre-to-centre distance a>=400). See the sample of hardened gear reducer for details
Using splash oil lubrication, the lubricating oil for bearings is the same as that for gears
Lubrication method: Splash lubrication: When the oil level is low, the meshing parts and bearings are lubricated by the oil splashed out during the operation of the transmission parts
Oil bath lubrication: The oil level needs to be high enough to allow the meshing parts and bearings to be immersed in the lubricating oil, and a compensation oil tank is generally required
Forced circulation oil lubrication: equipped with lubrication pumps, lubrication pipelines, filtration, pressure regulation, heating, cooling and other components (as required), gearbox lubrication oil quantity
(1) When using oil bath splash lubrication method, the lubricating oil level should be filled according to the oil level indicator of the reducer. For example, there are oil sight glasses on both ends of the ZDY single stage cylindrical gear reducer to see the oil level.
(2) When forced circulating oil lubrication mode is adopted, the circulating lubricating oil volume is generally not less than 0.5L/KW, or calculated according to Thermal equilibrium and adhesive strength. When this mode is mainly adopted, the oil level of the reducer should still be kept at the oil level indicator, except when lubricating station is adopted (special instructions should be given)
(3) The bearings and gear transmission components of the reducer generally use the same lubricating oil
(4) When a gearbox using forced circulation lubrication stops for more than 24 hours and starts at full load, lubricating oil should be supplied before starting
